NFL Offseason Begins With Improbable Bears' Rumors

The NFL offseason is a place where unrealistic scenarios and outrageous trade rumors go to thrive.
Just five days after Super Bowl LIV, Dan Sileo — former NFL player and current radio host — gave Bears fans legitimate reasons to question how he became a verified account on Twitter.
Here is what he tweeted last Friday.

.@Bengals I have been told are listening to offers for the #1 pick in the @NFL Draft from :

1. @Chargers
2. @MiamiDolphins
3. @Broncos
4. @ChicagoBears
5. @Buccaneers

— Dan Sileo (@DanSileoShow) February 8, 2020

And here is how Sileo riled up Chicago’s fanbase a day later.

.@ChicagoBears will be shopping @FiftyDeuce ..asking price..2#1s…2#2s..or a combination of 1/2/3 with # of picks..they are listening! ??

— Dan Sileo (@DanSileoShow) February 8, 2020

Maybe Sileo has inside sources that Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport don’t, or he is simply throwing information out on social media and seeing what sticks. The latter seems far more feasible.
I reacted to Sileo’s tweets in the video below and explained why both bits of information are unlikely to happen.

Of course, I wasn’t the only one who thought Sileo’s information was ridiculous. Here are some of the responses from fans on Twitter.

As time passes, expect more rumors to circulate. That is exactly what the NFL offseason is all about. The 2020 NFL free agency begins at 4 p.m. ET on March 18, and the NFL Draft will be held on April 23.
Until then, use good judgment, and don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

I wonder how it feels to be completely lost in the realm of insanity with no credibility. Good job DAN
